Booms suspended in tanks or bilges to absorb surface oil A useful product which can be attached to a rope using the integral ring and lowered into drains, sumps, shafts, manholes and tanks when it is necessary to skim oil off the water surface. It is generally left in place until saturated with oil and can be withdrawn regularly for checking. Being hydrophobic, water will not be absorbed and oil will not leach from the boom.
