Hydraulic Valves Pumps/Motors

A hydraulic pump is the component within the hydraulic system that converts the mechanical energy from the prime mover (a turning force) into fluid energy in the form of oil flow.  There are various types of hydraulic pumps including gear, piston, vane, and more.

Hydraulic motors are used in any application requiring rotational force, also known as torque. A hydraulic motor converts hydrostatic energy into mechanical energy by pushing vanes, gears or pistons attached to a crankshaft.
